The Christian faith is the tradition represented here.
The slightest thought of the category of sacred art causes us to go in our imaginations to images made famous by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, etc. Regardless of the intimidation factor of aged forms, current day artists must forge ahead and render images that mark his/her spiritual path in hope that their expression will inspire, challenge, amuse or enlarge the spiritual journey of themselves and others on their same path.
Robert has painted several concepts and images from his Christian faith as they have inspired him in prayer and study. Often they are humorous and challenging. There is the hope that they will resonate with and inspire others. He is not referred to as a Christian artist but as a Christ-follower who is an artist by profession.
